Back in 2007, LWMF took an extraordinary trip to South Africa to work with the Sithabile Child & Youth Care Center (SC & YCC) and Sedibeng Sa Bophelo on a variety projects. LWMF will be going back again in September 2010 with an even greater charter. We will be purchasing school supplies and hygiene items, handing it out to the kids, getting them prepared for the school year. Sithabile is a Zulu word meaning “we are happy”.

More on Robben Island
Here are a few more photos from Robben Island. As you can see there are a few churches there and also the view to the rest of Cape Town from Robben Island is really nice. Cruelly, it probably just let prisoners know what they were missing while they were locked away on the island. Another way of punishing you. Oh, and by the way, only black and colored prisoners were held on the island. The white people were held elsewhere.
