The Motherland of all Massages

What do you do after you get back from a hard night and day of safari? You let your South African friends talk you into an all day massage fest at a spa called Bayete. They house you in a cabin overnight and the following day you're given massage therapy from about 10 am to 4 pm. In between they massage your stomach with tea and lunch and cocktails. You feel as if you have no muscle tone left at the end of the day.

You keep the same therapist all day long and she exfoliates a lifetime of dead skin and massages anatomical parts you didn't even know you had. These women were amazing! All of this is done on the most beautiful property located in a valley and much of it is done outside or in a tent where you have full sight of vistas like the one shown here.

What's with all the safaris and massages, you're probably saying. Aren't you all supposed to be in South Africa at the orphanage and clinic? Yes indeed. That started today, in fact. There will be much more to come about that.
